By accessing, registering for, or using AFRIFIT ("the App," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not access or use the platform.
2. User Accounts and Security
To access certain features, such as the Daily Food Debate, hydration tracking, and streak logging, you must register for an account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
- You agree to provide accurate and current information during registration.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if we suspect unauthorized use, fraudulent activity, or a violation of these Terms.
3. Acceptable Use and Community Conduct
The App includes interactive community features, including daily polls and debates. By participating, you agree to:
- Interact respectfully. We reserve the right to ban users who attempt to manipulate poll results, use automated bots, or spam the platform.
- Not attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or disrupt the App's servers, databases, or third-party integrations.
4. Intellectual Property Rights
All content, original code, UI designs, vector graphics (including the custom App logo), and the underlying methodology of the platform are the exclusive intellectual property of AFRIFIT and its creators.
- You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our platform for commercial purposes without explicit written permission.
- The application utilizes third-party databases, such as the WAFCT 2019, which remain the intellectual property of their respective research organizations.
5. Third-Party Services
Our platform integrates with third-party infrastructure to provide core functionalities:
- We utilize external artificial intelligence APIs to generate food alternatives and suggestions.
- We use third-party cloud hosting for database and authentication management.
- We are not responsible for outages, data delays, or service interruptions caused by these external providers.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AFRIFIT shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the App. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Loss of user data, including daily streaks, hydration logs, or saved meals, due to system crashes or server resets.
- Any health-related outcomes resulting from your reliance on the App's nutritional calculations or AI-generated food alternatives (as detailed in our Medical Disclaimer).
7. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from the use of the App will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Nigerian courts.
8. Modifications to the Terms
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
